My Summer Vacation

We went to stay in the newest oceanfront complex on the Outer Banks ... (one of the best places in the world!). It is called The Croatan Surf Club and is in the town of Kill Devil Hills (isn't that a funny name?).
Mom chose the townhome called Dawn Patrol because her favorite thing is to watch the sun come up over the ocean every day of vacation. She and dad sat on the oceanfront terrace a lot during our week. Me, I was either in the oceanfront pool or the spray ground or in the indoor heated pool. We went to the beach every day too. There was a TV in my bedroom and I got to bring my computer... mom said to because there is wireless Internet and that means I could keep up with my friends.
Mom was really, really happy that all the beds were made and she did not have to do it. Towels were there too. She said "Now THIS is a vacation" when we first saw Dawn Patrol.
I go to stay in the room with the pyramid bunk and it was so cool. My best friend Larry came with us and he slept in the bottom bunk and I called dibs on the top. We liked the arcade room--it was fun and I almost always beat Larry. Dad went to the fitness room every day and then he soaked in the hot tub--the indoor one.
There are two other bedrooms and each has a king bed so my stuck up big sister Courtney had her own room too. She stayed on the beach all the time and was even kind of nice to me that week.
The Croatan Surf Club is near Mile Post 7.5 and we went out to eat almost every night. My favorite place was Goombays because I liked their ceiling ... it looks like you are underwater looking up. Dad and I went to Jolly Roger one morning, just us guys and we laughed so much that milk came out of my nose. Dad let me get pancakes and a big cinammon bun.
One day we visited the Wright Brothers Monument and it was really cool. Dad bought us all tickets to The Lost Colony and that was awesome. The Indians were the best part. Mom said she wants to go back next year, me too.
Any good reporter has to give facts so here they are:
3 bedrooms, 3 full baths. 2 king beds, 1 pyramid bunk and a queen sleep sofa in the living room. There are 4 TVs and 4 DVD players. One reason mom picked this townhome is cause there is no smoking allowed and neither are pets (Courtney has allergies).
Sunday is the check in day and Dad liked that since he says there is not as much travel on Sundays. Mom found out that Dawn Patrol lets you rent for 3 days if you can't come for a full week and she said we might come back for a long weekend over Thanksgiving.
The townhome faces East. There are Oceanviews. There is even a website for this place at www.CroatanOBX.com
I had a really good vacation at The Croatan Surf Club.

Please keep in mind the Outer Banks often experiences downtime with this service and it can take multiple days to resolve issues when they occur. Village Realty is happy to provide internet service as a back up when this occurs and our services are available at every check in location.
2012 Oceanfront Pool Dates at the Croatan Surf Club: The outdoor pool is open from April 1st through the end of October (weather permitting). The indoor heated pool is open all year. Hours are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
