It has been so long since we got together ... too long. It is time for a "Divacation" at the Outer Banks! I found this simply fantastic new place right on the Oceanfront in Kill Devil Hills.
It is a townhome in The Croatan Surf Club and it will be perfect for us. There is an outdoor pool and a spa. And, this is the best part, there is also an indoor heated pool and another spa. I know you like to exercise every day so I made sure there was a fitness room too.
Bring your laptop, wireless Internet access is provided. There is a TV in each bedroom and a DVD player so I will bring some "chick flicks" with me. There are two bedrooms and each one has a private bath.
I checked everything out online and then I called the realty company (they were very nice) and they answered all my questions.
We will be very close to some of my favorite restaurants ... Goombays for great cocktails and island style food, Jolly Roger for breakfast and Kill Devil Grill for dinner. The kitchen has everything we need in case we decide to cook. I also read that there is community Park Grill.
The Croatan Surf Club is located on the Oceanfront at the 7.5 Milepost. There is underground parking and we are close to the Wright Brothers Monument and some really cute shops.
Oh, I forgot to say that we will not have start our week by making the beds, Village Realty does that for us! They provided bath towels too. There is one king bed and one double bed and a sofa bed in the living room.
So, I have everything figured out and I will call you tonight and give you a choice of weeks ... they let me put one on hold for 24 hours. We can split the costs -- and when you are looking at the price -- it includes everything except NC taxes (Uncle Sam wants his share) and optional trip insurance which the realty company does recommend.

We know it's important to stay connected. This Outer Banks vacation home does offer wireless (or wired) internet service (computer not included) at no additional charge. Please keep in mind the Outer Banks often experiences downtime with this service and it can take multiple days to resolve issues when they occur. Village Realty is happy to provide internet service as a back up when this occurs and our services are available at every check in location.
Short Stays (less than a week) are available at this Outer Banks vacation rental home. During Holiday Weeks like Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, we can be very flexible with check in days. 2012 Oceanfront Pool Dates at the Croatan Surf Club: The outdoor pool is open from April 1st through the end of October (weather permitting). The indoor heated pool is open all year. Hours are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
